Myanmar's advertising and marketing industry started with SAIL  

Established in 1991, SAIL and its founding members are credited with starting Myanmar’s advertising and marketing industry, putting up the country’s first billboard for Kodak in 1992, as well as promoting the country's first beauty pageant in 1996 and launching the country’s first HIV/health advertisement, part of the award-winning Aphaw condom campaign in 2003/2004.

SAIL was the creative push that encouraged the Karaweik to be used in the iconic Myanmar Beer logo, a brand that the company also launched. Besides Myanmar Beer, today many of the brands in SAIL's extensive portfolio remain market leaders, including those of Nestle and Unilever.

When Western-imposed sanctions threatened the company's survival around the turn of the millennium, SAIL got smart, creating and distributing its own traditional herbal medicine -- Say Kyaw. This strategic move preserved the company and resulted in the formation of the large 12-office support network that SAIL maintains today. 

As of 2014, SAIL has over 105 staff deployed in 12 support offices nationwide, offering our clients unparalleled reach to deploy creative advertising and marketing campaigns in Myanmar. 

As a total communications agency, SAIL conducts creative communications, brand strategy advisory, TVC production, media buying, PR event organization, market activation/sampling, consumer market research and more. 

A privately owned company, SAIL has introduced Myanmar to foriegn mobile phones, printers, beauty soaps, drink mixes, beers, hotels, chemicals, photographic films, detergents, toothpaste, to name a few categories.
